Lené Vineyard, an award-winning interior designer, is living a life-long commitment to designing unique interiors that will have a positive impact on her clients’ lives. Each project starts with Lené familiarizing herself to her client’s needs so she can create designs that are personalized to her client’s lifestyle. Skilled in AutoCAD, Lené brings her interior design and space planning projects to life.
With a degree in Interior Design from Brooks College, Lené continued her studies venturing into fine arts at California State University Long Beach and digital communications at the University of California Irvine. The combination of her education brings creativity to homes making them both stylish and livable.
Industry awards include the Lumen Award of Excellence for Interior Lighting Design, the Lumen Award of Excellence for Energy & Environmental Lighting Design and an ASID Platinum Design Excellence Award in commercial design.
With over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial architecture and interior design Leonard Temes has completed projects including retail space, showrooms, boutique hotels and private homes.
Leonard studied architecture at Cornell University where he obtained a Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree. His studies at Cornell University, brought him to programs abroad in Kyoto, Berlin, Vienna and Rome. where he became versed in architectural history, international style, and Italian design.
Leonard began his career in New York, working for a small boutique architecture firm specializing in retail interiors, merchandise mart showrooms, and private manhattan penthouses. He returned to his home town Toronto, for a brief period where he worked on an award winning library project , before landing a position at the world renown Gruen and Associates, in Los Angeles. He subsequently worked with several architecture firms in Southern California, on a wide variety of projects before launching his own studio. He has consulted on furniture specifications for many of LA and San Francisco’s top interior designers, and his work can be seen in many fine Southern Californian homes, including La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, and Palm Springs. He consulted on furnishings for the both the Mondrian and the Sunset Marquis boutique hotels in Los Angeles, and his work has been featured in several publications including the coffee-table book Designer Hotels . Tuscan Style Architecture and Houzz.
While working on a project in Rancho Santa Fe, Leonard fell in love with the San Diego area, where he now lives and works with the KAZ Design Group.
Meryl Hamilton is originally from New Jersey. She attended college at Philadelphia University and received her B.S. Degree in Interior Design. After living for 5 years in Philadelphia, she moved to New York City and worked at prestigious companies such as Ligne Roset and Flexform as a Senior Designer.
Meryl lived and worked as an Interior Designer for 8 years in Manhattan and moved to San Diego in early 2015. Her education and professional background stem from working many years in the design industry, however Meryl is also an accomplished artist and teacher. She has studied with many art teachers within NYC and California on oil painting and charcoal drawing.
Francisco joined the KAZ Design Group in 2018 and forms part of our designers here at La Jolla Showroom. He is a San Diego native and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the Newschool of Architecture and Design. At KAZ Design Group, Francisco combines his education, experience and passion to his high work ethics delivering always the best design solutions to our clients.
Born in France, Philippe was exposed to European contemporary design long before he decided to move to San Diego, in 2000. Prior to his collaboration with KAZ Design Group, Philippe owned a business of modern furniture at Cedros Avenue while entertaining a distribution of sculptures and blown glass vases nationwide (Mallemouche).
Later on he collaborated with renowned local firms such as Amy Finley Design (hospitality projects) and Roche-Bobois (high end furniture retail). With more than 17 years of extensive experience in the contemporary furniture industry combined with an intuitive flair for scale, chromatic and spatial flow, it did not take long for patrons to seek Philippe’s consultation.
Sometimes with humor, always with dedication, Philippe has demonstrated creativity and forward thinking with a structured and detailed mentality.
Angelicque’ Pines, a self taught artist and designer living in Southern CA, brings a unique and diverse background of construction & design to the KAZ group. Originally from the small town of Lancaster, she has traveled the world learning the value of the beauty in the eye of which we see. Her travels have allowed her to become more versed in culture, history, and architectural design from all around the world.
Angelicque’ began her career in Bakersfield where she was co-owner of her first plumbing, heating & air conditioning company at the young age of 23. She obtained her own C36 contractors license at the age of 31, and continued to grow her talents by re-inventing herself at the age of 32, as a Public Relations, Branding & Marketing specialist. She spent the next 12 years with a passion for helping people creatively developing their dreams, before re-inventing herself again as an artist and painter in 2017. Her style of art is a reminder to imagine, dream, believe and practice soulful living in your own creative expression.
Angelicque has a unique energetic eye for design and the way we see and feel the space around us. She offers a new perspective to the space we live and work in. Her diverse background can help you re-imagine and personalize the space your in, so you can live boldly and beautifully!
Alexi joined the KAZ Design Team in 2017 as an addition to the design and sales team. A La Jolla native, Alexi graduated in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of San Diego; as well Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications in 2007.
She brings a unique perspective to the design industry by combining passion, education, and her experience in the past-paced world of entertainment industry.
Alexi always strives to achieve a design style that is both timeless, beautiful, and geared towards every client’s needs.
Michele Stone studied Interior Design at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She worked as an assistant to Academy and Emmy award winning Set Decorators and Art Directors as well as Principal Interior Designer for more than 10 years at David Reaume Construction and Design in Pasadena. Michele gained extensive knowledge in construction, kitchen, bath and whole home remodel and design. While at Reaume she participated in more than 8 Pasadena Showcase Home Tours, where her design was featured on HGTV and in many magazines and books, such as The Best Designer’s in Los Angeles and The Best of Designer’s Challenge.
Before moving to San Diego, Michele lived in Las Vegas, NV where she worked for a top 10 International Hospitality design firm, Steelman Partners, Inc. During that time two of the casino junkets she designed in Macau, China won Hospy Awards.
Michele calls her design approach as “Cinematic”. She listens to her clients and through her close attention to detail, she sees herself as the “Director” and the client as the “Producer(s)”, Her goal is to create everything that her client is dreaming to accomplish in their home and make it an “Academy Award Winner”!
